  They say they are saving lives and that matters...but I adopted two cats here and instead of buying them in the paper I want to help save lives too. I had myself and three children as my family and we all live in the same house. I found two females I really liked but was told they might get adopted by another person the next day and I paid a deposit of 50 dollarss to be added to the whole bill. I was told to come back the very next day to make sure I get the cats I want. I was there with my two youngest children. I was told that the hold was not allowed to be sold or given or transferred to anyone else and I signed a so called contract. I had appointments all day. I was non stop busy all day and I am a single mom so time and money are really important commodities that I don't have much of. I had a final meeting with the bank that I COULD NOT get out of and I would not make it before the Idaho Humane society closed. I sent my oldest son who could drive a car and his two siblings along with my check book to pay for the rest of the monies minus the 50 dollars to hold. Now my son who lives here in the same house, paid for those cats with MY CHECK and showed my driver's license. I was told that I lost my 50 dollars as it was a transfer and breached of contract! I was shocked. I thought no transfer to a friend or stranger or someone else who was not living in my home as family. The cats registration adoption was in my eldest sons name and I lost 50 dollars. I asked where are the cats and he said being spayed and I am to pick up next day.. I go in and ask about my 50 and was told that I breached the contract. I said you took MY MONEY to pay for it! The contract is good. No they said it's void. We chatted ( argued) about transferring and money and contract.. until I was told that my cats were just spayed and could now move to the next room to pick up.. funny thing about the Idaho Humane Society contract.. it says that ONLY THE REGISTERED OWNER can pick up any animal at the Idaho Humane society. Here I was NOT the registered owner picking up the cats that the humane society registered to my eldest son!!! What a joke!! You would think that ADOPTIONS and the people who are interested in saving lives would get a break!!! I'm sorry but this type of bulling may save money but I doubt it will save lives.. as I asked around that day and three other people were complaining of the unfair treatment and ADOPTION!
